Covid-19: the decline continues in intensive care before the end of certain restrictions
End of travel restrictions and partial return of middle and high school students to class: the constraints linked to the covid-19 epidemic begin to loosen on Monday, against the backdrop of a slow decline in hospitalizations, but the medical profession calls on the French not to relax their behavior. In France, the number of patients with covid-19 in intensive care units continued to decline for the fifth consecutive day, Saturday, with less than 5,600 patients registered, according to figures from Public Health France. Since mid-April, the number of covid-19 patients hospitalized in these departments has hovered around 6,000 patients. A figure below the peak of the first wave in April 2020 (around 7,000) but higher than that of the second wave in the fall (4,900). [La crise sanitaire en direct]
