The incidence rate of covid-19 cases in the region, that is to say the number of new cases diagnosed by PCR test during the last seven days, continues to rise, this Wednesday in Brittany, according to the latest ARS figures.
He wakes up at 207 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, an increase of 7.5 points in five days. In one month, the incidence rate jumped 89.9% in Brittany. The positivity rate is 5.2%.
Ille-et-Vilaine retains the highest incidence rate, at 308 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (+23.8). Morbihan (213.2; +11), Côtes-d’Armor (195.1; -14.2) and Finistère (89; -0.6) follow.
The number of hospitalized patients is also on the rise this Monday in Brittany, with 785 hospitalizations in progress (+10 compared to Friday). The number of patients (116) treated in the intensive care units of Breton hospitals is also on the rise (+2).
Thirty-six deaths are to be deplored during the last five days, the toll therefore climbs to 1,364 deaths in hospital.
Brittany has registered 2,890 new cases since Friday, bringing to 113,020 the number of people infected in the region since the start of the epidemic. Among these new cases, 1,422 are in Ille-et-Vilaine, 636 in Morbihan, 494 in Côtes-d’Armor and 338 in Finistère.
Brittany currently has 136 (+91 in five days) clusters under investigation by ARS Bretagne: 35 in Côtes d’Armor, 15 in Finistère, 55 in Ille-et-Vilaine and 31 in Morbihan.
As of 6/04, 698,641 vaccinations were performed (of which 183 109 concern the 2nd
injection): 155,596 in the Côtes d’Armor (including 40,539 for the 2nd injection) , 193,506 in Finistère (including 50,496 for the 2nd injection) , 191 091 in Ille-et-Vilaine (including 49 584 for the 2nd injection) and 158,448 in Morbihan (including 42,490 for the 2nd injection).
