The incidence rate

The incidence rate, that is to say the number of new cases diagnosed by PCR test during the last seven days, amounted, this Monday, to 97.4 cases per 100,000 inhabitants at the regional level. It is on the rise: Friday it was at 89.3 cases. There are quite strong disparities according to the departments: 153 in Ille-et-Vilaine (+17.7); 94 in Morbihan (+19); 59.2 in Finistère (-6.3) and 58.9 in Côtes-d’Armor (-1). The positivity rate is also up slightly, to 4.4%, against 4% three days ago.

The number of new cases

Brittany has registered 1,094 new cases since Friday, bringing the number of people infected in the region to 64,591 since the start of the epidemic. Among these 1,094 cases, 519 are in Ille-et-Vilaine (29,755 in total), 195 in Finistère (12,383), 229 in Morbihan (12,771) and 140 in Côtes-d’Armor (9 682).

Hospitalizations
The number of hospitalized patients is also on the rise this Monday in Brittany, with 590 hospitalizations in progress (+22 compared to Friday). And 43 patients are currently treated in the intensive care units of Breton hospitals (+9). 48 additional people were able to reach their homes (3,677 in total). And 21 additional deaths are to be deplored in the last 72 hours, the toll climbs to 812 deaths in hospital.

Epidemic foci

Currently, the ARS is monitoring 75 epidemic outbreaks in Brittany. 39 are located in Ille-et-Vilaine (2 in a professional environment, 4 in a school and university environment, 13 in a health establishment, 2 in an establishment for disabled people, 12 in nursing homes and 6 in the private sphere), 12 in Morbihan (2 in schools and universities, 4 in health establishments, 1 in establishments for disabled people, 2 in nursing homes and 3 in the private sphere), 19 in Finistère (1 in schools and universities, 12 in health establishments, 1 in an establishment for disabled people, 3 in nursing homes and 2 in the private sphere) and 5 in the Côtes-d’Armor (1 in schools and universities, 1 in health establishments, 1 in nursing homes and 2 in the private sphere) .
