Country music star Maren Morris to headline 2023 Illinois State Fair – NBC Chicago

It may still be winter, but the Illinois State Fair is already predicting summer.

According to a press release, Grammy-winning country music star Maren Morris will headline the Illinois Lottery Grandstand at the 2023 Illinois State Fair on August 19.

“We are excited to begin announcing our lineup of 2023 Illinois State Fair grandstands,” Illinois State Fair Director Rebecca Clark said in the release.

“To start with Maren Morris bringing blow after blow to our Illinois Lottery grandstand stage, it’s been a dream come true,” Clark continues. “Whether you’re a fan of his hit collaboration ‘The Middle’ with Zedd or his country hit singles like ‘My Church’, ’80’s Mercedes’ or ‘The Bones’, this is sure to be a gig that you won’t want to miss it.”

The 2023 Illinois State Fair will take place August 10-20 in Springfield. Although a sale date for grandstand tickets has yet to be announced, tickets will be priced in tiers, starting at $50, the release continues.

In 2022, Willie Nelson and his family headlined the fair. Other artists include TLC, Brooks & Dunn, Shaggy, Demi Lovato and Lainey Wilson
