All eyes are on Derek Carr and the Las Vegas Raiders for the 2022 NFL season.
Is it because they have the best quarterback in the league?
Will it be because their quarterback is an MVP candidate for 2022?
It probably won’t be for these reasons that fans and critics will watch Carr.
Those eyes are on him because star receiver Davante Adams came to Las Vegas to play with Carr.
However, he’s not as good as the quarterback Adams played with in Green Bay.
The Green Bay quarterback whose passes Adams caught is none other than Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers is a four-time MVP, which means he’s better than Carr, who has never won an MVP title.
However, does an MVP title make Rodgers any better than his Las Vegas counterpart?
Adams could be the key to making Carr better
Although Carr isn’t as good as Rodgers right now, Adams could change that for him.
Both players were teammates at Fresno State, and they both broke records there.

With the two players back together again, it could mean an improvement in the future for the veteran Raiders quarterback.
Adams was the biggest part of Rodgers’ back-to-back NFL MVP reigns.
With him, the four-time MVP quarterback posted some of his best numbers of his career.
His star receiver helped make up a significant portion of his output in 2020 and 2021.
Adams helped Rodgers by accounting for about a third of his passing stats.
With a player representing so much production, it’s easy to see him doing the same in Las Vegas.
However, will coming to Las Vegas help their quarterback unlock that next level of performance?
Adams being in Las Vegas puts pressure on Carr to perform
Raiders fans have been asking Carr to join the team for a long time.
My rule for Derek Carr was very simple this year. Take us to the playoffs. It just can’t perform under our system. He’s a great person and a great talent, and he’s a good quarterback, but not our quarterback for our system. Gruden needs an improviser with moxie. just the facts pic.twitter.com/xOZK386VKN

However, this season puts the most pressure on him with an elite receiver on their roster.
But that pressure could help turn him into a diamond this NFL season.
He and his star receiver have chemistry on the field.
If they show the chemistry is still there, AFC West could see a new champion with the Raiders.
However, it’s up to Carr to show the NFL world how good or bad he is.
Is 2022 the season where Carr turns into a diamond with Adams by her side?
During the NFL preseason, we could see a flash of passes from Carr to Adams.
It will also show if this pressure on Carr makes him the diamond their fans desire.
Adams is the biggest factor in the veteran quarterback’s success.
However, the Raiders also have Hunter Renfrow and Josh Jacobs.
These offensive weapons will help round out their new team star.
So as long as their defense can hold up in games, Carr is well on its way to having its best season yet.
Although he’s not as good as Rodgers now, he now has all the tools to improve and challenge him for that MVP title.
