Consolidated revenues increase by 13.4% in 2021

Last year was favorable to the HPS Group. For the fourth quarter of 2021, it confirms the growth dynamic of its activities, with consolidated revenues of 248.4 million dirhams, up 13.2% compared to the same period in 2020. According to HPS, the quarter notably saw strong commercial success with the signing of several contracts, including a contract with a major bank in Asia Pacific. In addition, HPS continued to deploy various projects in a slightly improving health context and an overall recovery in economic activity.

Over the year as a whole, consolidated revenues therefore amounted to MAD 826.2 million, up 13.4% compared to 2020. “The successful diversification of the Group’s business models has resulted in the strengthening of recurring revenues for the year, +19% compared to 2020, now represents 64.6% of consolidated revenues” indicates the group. In 2021, revenues from the Processing activity will increase by 20.3%, due to the strengthening of the Payment activity, through the Group’s acquisitions and also thanks to the expansion of its customer portfolio.

The recovery of the Switching activity, which has returned to its historic pre-Covid-19 growth, also contributed to the overall performance of the Processing activity. The gradual improvement in the global health situation during the last quarter, combined with the sustained effort in terms of commercial development, enabled the activity to resume the deployment of its various projects. Revenues from the activity will increase by 3.5% in 2021.

“Thanks to the synergies implemented with the other activities of the Group and the recovery of the economic situation in France, the Services activity limits the decline in its revenues to -8.7%”, it is underlined. Investment in R&D increased by 11.7% compared to last year and amounted to 103.5 million dirhams, in line with the strategic orientations of the HPS Group and in response to the growing needs of its customers in innovation and development of new features around the PowerCARD platform, particularly in its version 4.
