Conservative Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will promise billions of dollars in tax cuts this morning as he launches a Tory election platform which he hopes will reduce the deficit by 21 points with Keir Starmer’s Labor Party .
The manifesto will include a “new and improved help to buy scheme”, Sunak announced in a Telegraph editorial, a commitment to making the £425,000 stamp duty threshold for first-time buyers permanent, and a program of two years to let Landlords sell their homes to tenants without paying capital gains tax.
Labor will launch its own manifesto on Thursday. Meanwhile, the party announced it would ban under-16s from buying high-caffeine energy drinks.
