“It is also appropriate to reward the recent presence in Peru of the President of the Republic of Chile on the occasion of the supreme command in our country”, they added, recalling that the president of Chile, yesebastián Piñera, participated in the assumption of command of his counterpart Pedro Castillo.
POPULAR FORCE VOTED AGAINST
President Castillo’s travel permit had 74 votes in favor, 31 against and 6 abstentions. Popular Force had advanced that it would vote against giving authorization to the president for his trip to Chile because he considered that this was not the right time for the head of state to leave the country due to the new questioning of his administration after the declarations of the lobbyist Karelim López were made known to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Nation.
“Historically, we have always given the go-ahead to all the president’s trips, because it is a democratic act where the president represents the country. But this time it seems like a joke.
