Complete list of foreigners murdered, kidnapped or missing in Hamas terrorist attack


Hundreds of foreigners were murdered, injured or taken hostage Saturday in Hamas’ horrific terrorist attack on Israel, which also left many missing in the days that followed.

An electronic music festival in Israel’s southern desert, during which many revelers were killed, was Hamas’s central initial target before spreading to other areas, moving behind rocket fire from the West Bank fired indiscriminately towards the Jewish State.

Agence France-Presse (AFP) has compiled the following list of people from outside Israel who are believed to be among the victims, as detailed on Friday.

United States: 27 dead, others kidnapped, missing

At least 27 American citizens were killed, American authorities said.

An unknown number of Americans are believed to have been kidnapped.

“We now know that American citizens are among those detained by Hamas,” President Joe Biden said Tuesday.

Thailand: 21 dead, 16 hostages

Twenty-one Thais were killed, Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin said on Thursday.

The Foreign Ministry said 13 other people were injured and 16 were believed to have been kidnapped.

There are around 30,000 Thais in Israel, most of whom work in the agricultural sector, according to government figures.

France: 13 dead, 17 missing

Thirteen French nationals have died according to French President Emmanuel Macron.

Seventeen people are missing, according to the latest figures from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including a number of children according to Macron.

Nepal: 10 dead, one missing

Ten Nepalese citizens were killed in Kibbutz Alumim, the Himalayan republic’s embassy in Tel Aviv announced on Sunday.

Kibbutz Alumim was housing 17 students at the time of the attack.

Argentina: Seven dead, 15 missing

The Argentine Foreign Ministry confirmed that seven nationals were killed and 15 others missing.

– Ukraine: seven dead, nine missing –

The Foreign Ministry said on Thursday the number of Ukrainians killed had risen to seven, with nine others missing and nine injured.

Russia: four dead, six missing

At least four Russian Israelis were killed, the Russian embassy in Tel Aviv said.

He said he had no information about any hostages but that six Russian nationals were missing.

United Kingdom: four dead

A number of Britons have been confirmed dead by their families, and the Israeli embassy in London confirmed two more on Wednesday.

Foreign Secretary James Cleverly said on Tuesday that a “significant number” of dual British-Israeli nationals had been caught up in the fighting.

The latest count stands at nearly 17 dead and missing.

Austria: three dead, two missing

Three Israeli-Austrians were killed in the attacks, authorities said. Two others remain missing.

Belarus: three dead and one missing

The Belarusian embassy in Tel Aviv announced Thursday that three of its citizens had died “in tragic circumstances” and that another was missing.

Canada: three dead, three missing

Three Canadians were killed and three others are still missing, Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly said.

China: three dead and two missing

China’s Foreign Ministry said Thursday that three Chinese nationals were killed and two missing.

Philippines: three dead and three missing

The Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs announced Friday that a 49-year-old woman was killed at the music festival.

Previously, authorities said a 33-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man were killed on a kibbutz.

Three nationals were still missing.

Brazil: two dead and one missing

The Foreign Ministry announced on Tuesday that a Brazilian man and a woman had been killed.

Another Brazilian is still missing.

Peru: two dead, three missing

Two Peruvians were killed and three were missing, authorities said.

Australia: one dead

Foreign Minister Penny Wong said on Wednesday that an Australian woman had been killed in the attacks.

Azerbaijan: one dead

The Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday that an Azerbaijani national had been killed.

Cambodia: one dead

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said a Cambodian student had been killed.

Chile: one dead and one missing

Three Israeli-Chilean nationals and a Chilean woman were killed, authorities confirmed Thursday.

A kibbutz resident has been reported missing, according to the Foreign Ministry.

Ireland: one dead

A 22-year-old Irish-Israeli woman died in these attacks, the Irish government confirmed on Wednesday.

Portugal: one dead, four missing

One Portuguese national was killed and four are missing, Foreign Minister Gomes Cravinho said on Wednesday.

Spain: one dead

The Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday that a Spanish citizen had been killed.

A Spaniard married to a Chilean is missing, according to Chilean authorities.

Türkiye: one dead and one missing

The Israeli embassy in Turkey said Thursday that one national had been killed and another was missing.

Germany: several hostages

Several German and Israeli nationals were kidnapped, a source from the German Foreign Ministry said on Sunday.

The mother of Shani Louk, 22, told Der Spiegel newspaper she recognized her daughter from online videos showing an apparently unconscious woman face down in the back of a pickup truck full of armed men in Gaza.

Ricarda Louk told Spiegel that her daughter was present at the nearby music festival.

Mexico: two hostages

Foreign Minister Alicia Barcena wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that two Mexicans, a man and a woman, had been taken hostage.

Italy: three missing

Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said Thursday that three Israeli-Italians were missing.

Colombia: two missing

Two Colombians attending the Supernova desert festival were missing, Israel’s ambassador to Colombia told X.

The government confirmed two Colombians were at the rave and said it was trying to help locate them.

Two Paraguayan nationals who lived in Israel are missing, the government said.

Sri Lanka: two missing

Sri Lanka’s ambassador to Israel said on Tuesday that two nationals, a 48-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman, were missing.

Tanzania: two missing

Tanzania’s ambassador to Israel told AFP that two Tanzanian nationals were missing.
