Colorado floods: at least one dead and two are missing

The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office told CNN affiliate KMGH that a body was found in the Powder River by the Larimer County Dive Rescue Team. Two people are also missing in the floods, according to KMGH.

The identities of the deceased and missing have not been disclosed by the authorities.

A flash flood warning for the area has been issued by the National Weather Service Boulder Tuesday evening.

At least five houses were damaged in the floods, KMGH reported.

The sheriff’s office issued mandatory evacuations on Tuesday evening due to flooding in the area.

“Mandatory evacuations have been ordered for residents and occupants of businesses due to immediate and imminent danger. Evacuate the area immediately and as quickly as possible. Office said in an alert.
Officials lifted the mandatory evacuation in the area early Wednesday morning, a update alert from the sheriff’s office said.

However, officials fear the time will return.

“There is a concern for the expected weather conditions [Wednesday.] We ask residents to remain alert to weather conditions in case additional evacuations are needed, “the alert said.
