Chiefs sign Marquez Valdes-Scantling to three-year contract

The Kansas City Chiefs were never going to find a perfect replacement for six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who was traded to the Miami Dolphins on Wednesday after contract negotiations with his former employer broke down.

Kansas City recently reached a deal with former first-round pick Corey Coleman but, unsurprisingly, hasn’t finished looking for additional weapons for its passing offense. It was learned later Wednesday that former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling was visiting with the Chiefs, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter (h/t Rob Demovsky) is now reporting that the two sides have agreed to a three-year contract.
