Chicago First Weather Alert: Cooler weekend weather, possible thunderstorms

CHICAGO (SCS) — A pair of cold fronts are helping to bring choppy weather to the Chicago area and possibly cooler temperatures. The first front that approached Chicago last night brought showers and a few thunderstorms. It moves into the Chicago area around noon today and brings a slight chance of a thunderstorm.

The second front moves until Saturday evening. This not only brings a few showers as we head into Sunday, but it also ushers in much cooler air which we really feel the effects of the cooler weather are coming next week.
