Chelsea transfer news: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang talks have advanced in a deal with Barcelona which includes Marcos Alonso | Transfer Center News

Chelsea are in advanced talks with Barcelona over the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The transfer under discussion would see Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso move to Barcelona in a player-plus-cash deal for Aubameyang.

No deal has been reached yet, but all parties are positive, hopeful and ready to reach a deal before the transfer window closes at 11pm on Thursday.

Aubameyang suffered a minor jaw fracture during the attack on his home at the weekend.

The Gabon striker, who is expected to be out for three weeks, will be able to return to non-contact training next week.

Chelsea are aware and sympathetic to his situation and it is believed the injury will not impact a potential transfer as talks progress.

The club still want to sign a forward and a midfielder before the transfer window closes.

Thomas Tuchel has already splashed out £268m this summer on players including Wesley Fofana, Marc Cucurella, Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly.
