There has been another twist in Raphinha’s transfer saga with Chelsea which is set to seal the star’s signing from Leeds ahead of Arsenal, according to talkSPORT.
Raphinha was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona, but Arsenal then became the favorites to have him.
Arsenal’s reluctance to pay Leeds’ asking price appeared to let Chelsea steal a step in the race, with the Blues currently in advanced talks over a £55m move.
However, the race is not over as Raphinha has not finalized his personal terms with the west London club.
It is understood that Barca are the ideal transfer for the Brazil international, however, financial constraints at Camp Nou mean the LaLiga side are unable to complete a deal this summer.
Raphinha enjoyed two great seasons at Elland Road, scoring 17 goals in 65 Premier League appearances.
These are exciting times for Chelsea, who also appear set to complete the signing of Raheem Sterling from Manchester City.
But times are worrying for Leeds, who are set to lose Kalvin Phillips to Manchester City, and former Whites defender Danny Mills believes the club should have done more when approached for their two trump cards precious.

“I think he’s going to add something to Chelsea. He’s a good player, who has options,” Mills said on Kick Off.
“You would think that three teams coming for him would make it a bit of an auction and Leeds would raise the price a bit.
“Leeds were adamant in January when there was speculation West Ham were interested in Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha and Leeds wanted nothing less than £60m.
“They’ve now let Kalvin Phillips go for £42m, which I find bizarre, and now they’ve let Raphinha go for around £55m.
“You left your two best players at the football club…a huge hole for Leeds to fill.”
