Chelsea draw attention to Presnel Kimpembe as Thomas Tuchel plans to reunite with PSG defender

Whether the 26-year-old is a viable signing remains unclear, but some believe the defender could be available for around £50million. The French international has previously worked with Tuchel.
Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly has agreed to join Chelsea for £33million, with Manchester City’s Nathan Ake in advanced talks with the Blues.
Kimpembe is currently set to join the Parisians’ tour of Japan with Chelsea top of their pre-season schedule in the United States.
The signing of three centre-backs could signal removals from Stamford Bridge for several players, including Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso – who are being targeted by Barcelona.
The Catalan giants met co-owner and caretaker sporting director Todd Boehly at a restaurant a few days ago to agree a deal.
There are also now considerable doubts over former Huddersfield Town loanee Levi Colwill and his future in west London. The 19-year-old is one of the country’s most exciting young defenders but has a host of offers from various Premier League clubs.
If Chelsea were to sign two left centre-backs, he would consider his future chances at Chelsea as unviable.
Activity around defense is coupled with the signing of forwards as Raheem Sterling joins Chelsea from Manchester City for £47.5million. He became their first signing of the summer with other forward options being considered by Boehly.
Among them are AC Milan’s Rafael Leao and Bayern Munich’s Serge Gnabry.
