IND v AUS: Rajinikanth – Kuldeep Yadav, Washington Sundar and other Team India members visited superstar Rajnikanth at his home. The legendary actor watched India v Australia in the first ODI in Mumbai yesterday. The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) shared the news on its official Twitter account. Thalaiva was pictured talking with MCA Chairman Amol Kale. The Wankhede crowds couldn’t control their excitement and rose to their feet as the cameras turned to Rajnikanth. “We are happy that Mr. Rajinikanth has accepted my invitation. He is a very busy man and agreeing to spend the day with us is a great thing. We are so grateful for her visit,” Kale, who has a special bond with the movie star, told TOI. The superstar was accompanied by his wife Latha.
Speaking of the match, India won the toss and opted to field first. Hardik Pandya leads in the absence of Rohit Sharma, who missed the first ODI due to family commitments. For Australia, Steve Smith leads the team. Regular skipper Pat Cummins is absent as his mother died last week. India won the Border Gavaskar trophy 2-1 and will be looking to build on their momentum in three ODI games.
