Champions League semi-final draw as Man City face potential showdown with Real Madrid as Liverpool could play Villarreal
Liverpool and Manchester City know their way to the Champions League final as we approach the commercial end of the competition.
Both Liverpool and City are set to reach the last four after first-leg quarter-final wins, but Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea have pulled out.
The Blues were brilliant against Real Madrid but lost their quarter-final 5-4 on aggregate.
Real will now meet City in the semi-finals if Pep Guardiola’s men progress.
Villarreal picked up a stunning victory against Bayern Munich in the other quarter-final.
And Liverpool look most likely to face them in the last four after beating Benfica 3-1 in Lisbon.

Liverpool overcame Inter Milan with a 2-1 aggregate win in the Round of 16, while City and Chelsea made light work of Sporting Lisbon and Lille respectively.
The dates for the Champions League semi-finals are set to be Tuesday April 26 and Wednesday April 37 for the first legs.
The return matches will then take place on Tuesday 3 May and Wednesday 4 May.
The final will take place at the Stade de France in Paris on May 28 after moving from St. Petersburg following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
