The Champion Chase is always a highlight of the Cheltenham Festival and the 2022 race is just around the corner.

Cheltenham kicks off on Tuesday March 15 with four days of elite horse racing in store.

A packed house of fans will flock to Gloucestershire for the action and many will be keeping a close eye on the Champion Chase.

While the Gold Cup is the showpiece race of the week, the Champion Chase is not far behind and is always a thriller.

Put The Kettle On and jockey Aidan Coleman won for trainer Henry De Bromhead at the big race last year.

Champion Chase: start date and time

The 2022 Cheltenham Festival will hold Ladies’ Day and the Hunt for Champions on Wednesday March 16.

The flagship race will start at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.

Day two action kicks off at 1:30 p.m., with the Champion Chase being the fourth of seven races on the day.
