CCTV shows moment brave members of the public attacked robber who targeted Shoreham convenience store | UK News

Police have hailed the bravery of three members of the public who attacked a masked assailant during a store robbery.
Samuel Brown’s assault on a convenience store in Shoreham was caught on CCTV, as was the moment he was tackled to the ground in a nearby garden as he tried to escape.
The 32-year-old was among a group of masked men who targeted the store on Halloween last year.
Wearing a blue hooded jacket, he was seen attacking a member of staff and snatching a cash register from the counter.
The worker bravely fought him off and quickly informed a relative, who chased after Brown and tackled him in a garden.
An occupant of the house came out to help, and the couple managed to restrain Brown despite the assault.
Police arrived to arrest Brown, of Shoreham, who was charged with robbery and two counts of assault.
He has since been sentenced to 49 months in prison.
