Signatory of a 1977 forum defending pedophilia, Jack Lang recognized on January 18 an “unacceptable bullshit”. In his mea culpa, he had mentioned Catherine Dolto as another signatory. She lodged a defamation complaint.
Faced with his past on Europe 1 about a column published in 1977 in The world that he had co-signed against the criminalization of sex with adolescents, Jack Lang expressed his regret on January 18, evoking “a kind of faulty libertarian vision” post-May 68 and acknowledging “unacceptable bullshit”.
I am revolted that he accuses me in an infamous way of having supported acts and ideas that I have always firmly opposed
But as if to justify himself for not having been the only one in his time to sign this platform, he cited other famous names who would have put their patronym at the bottom of this text and others who would have defended these ideas favorable to pedophilia. Among the latter, Jack Lang mentioned that of Catherine Dolto. “If we open the debate, at the time we were not alone in saying this, there were even eminent people, I think of Catherine Dolto, even if she was careful, to profess this kind of appreciation. It is not my feeling today ”. Problem: the doctor and writer has never signed this text and she wants to let it know.
Very recovered, Catherine Dolto replied on January 26 in a press release which Marianne had knowledge. Calling Jack Lang’s words a “shameless lie”, she announced that she had asked her lawyers to file a complaint against the former minister. “I am revolted that he accuses me in an infamous manner of having supported acts and ideas that I have always firmly opposed”, writes Catherine Dolto. “Everyone can easily verify that I neither signed nor approved this petition,” she adds accusing Jack Lang of “seeking to absolve himself of his own fault by associating his behavior with the names of famous people for their fight in favor of childhood ”.
