The financial center Casablanca Finance City (CFC) now occupies the 54th position in the world in the latest edition of the ranking of the best international financial centers, established by the Global Financial Centers Index (GFCI), and holds its first position in Africa.

Thus, Casablanca remains the most attractive financial center on the African continent, ahead of Cape Town (55th) and Johannesburg (56th), according to the GFCI ranking published in March.

In the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, CFC ranks 3rd, behind Dubai (17th worldwide) and Abu Dahbi (31st).

For this 31st edition of the GFCI ranking, 126 financial centers were examined, of which 119 are now part of the main index. The instrumental factors used in the GFCI model are grouped into five broad areas of competitiveness namely, business climate, human capital, infrastructure, financial sector development and reputation.
