Carrie Underwood shares her happy family traditions for the holidays

Sometimes it is the simpler traditions that leave Carrie Underwood soufflé.

As the excitement continues to build for the holiday season, the American Idol The winner is giving fans a taste of what her family celebrations will look like when Santa comes to town.

“I think there are a lot of things about the holiday season that bring joy, but right now my kids watching them experience some of these things for the first time is really special,” shared Carrie exclusively with E! New. “Having playing in the snow, building a snowman, Santa Claus, just watching them feel the magic of Christmas is something really special.”

The Grammy winner added, “I feel like we’re all growing up and sometimes the holidays can be stressful, but when you look at them through their eyes it’s just beautiful.” Carrie and her husband, Mike fisher, have two children together: Isaiah, 6 and Jacob, 2.

While most of their vacation plans are being kept top-secret for now, there’s a good chance this family will have the opportunity to watch Mom perform on ABC’s CMA Country Christmas special.
