Carlos Santana collapses on stage during performance in Michigan

Carlos Santana collapsed on stage during a performance in Michigan on Tuesday night in a chilling scene that ended with fans waving as he was carried away on a stretcher.

Santana, 74, was surrounded by crew members and medical staff after she passed out on stage at the Pine Knob Music Theater in Clarkston, footage shows shared by WJBK-TV.

Someone on stage reportedly asked the crowd to pray for the legendary Latin rock guitarist due to a “serious medical issue”.

The “Smooth” performer was then removed from the stage on a stretcher and was seen waving to the crowd as crew members attempted to block the carriage with a black sheet, a clip posted on Twitter show.

Santana was overwhelmed with heat exhaustion and dehydration but was “doing fine” later Tuesday night, a rep for the rocker told TMZ.

He reportedly felt dizzy and sat down in front of the drums at the start of his set, before collapsing backwards.

Santana has played 32 dates since March 25, according to her website.

He reportedly took some time off the road after undergoing an “unscheduled cardiac procedure” in December, according to Variety.
