California School District Features ‘Progress Pride’ Murals

A school district in blue California is displaying “Progress Pride” murals on every school campus as children return to school, the district proudly announced over the weekend.

“Progress Pride flags are painted as murals on every school campus,” said the Castro Valley Unified School District announced in a social media post on Saturday, featuring several images of the murals, including one with children standing on either side smiling.

“In keeping with our commitment to make every student feel safe and valued in our schools, on February 9, 2022, the CVUSD Board of Directors approved the project,” the district added:

The “Progress Pride” murals are based on the revamped pride flag of the left. The new version, adopted by the likes of the United States Department of State and Department of Justice, includes additional colored bands – black, brown, light pink, baby blue and white – specifically for the inclusion of minorities and transgender people:

It remains unclear why the school district feels it is appropriate to feature these murals on every school campus, but some states have taken action against such examples of woke indoctrination.

Steps taken this year by the Florida Legislature and Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) are perhaps best known, as the Parental Rights in Education Bill made national headlines after opponents falsely smeared the bill, misrepresenting it with the false name of news. “Don’t say gay.” The law itself has nothing to do with banning a particular word or phrase. Rather, it prohibits inappropriate classroom discussions on topics such as sexual orientation and gender identity for children in kindergarten through third grade. The measure drew backlash from progressive organizations such as Equality Florida, which warned that the law’s “chilling” effects include the removal of rainbow stickers.

However, the bill followed what appeared to be a push from the radical left to prepare children, exposing them to discussions that many parents consider extremely inappropriate for their young children. One such example occurred last year after a teacher in the Newport Mesa School District in Orange County mocked the American flag and urged students to pledge allegiance to the Pride Flag, which elicited a response from the district:

Meanwhile, TikTok is dripping with video after video of individuals claiming to be teachers, openly bragging about sparking discussions about sexual orientation and gender identity in their respective classrooms.
