Caleb Kennedy denied connection after suspected fatal drunk driving crash

Following his felony DUI charge, american idol alum Caleb Kennedy was reportedly denied bail during his court hearing.

Earlier this month, on Feb. 8, Kennedy, 17, was driving his 2011 Ford pickup truck in South Carolina when he allegedly drove into the driveway of a private residence and “hit” a building, an official from the South Carolina Highway Patrol previously told E! News. The person inside the garage, according to multiple reports, was later identified as Larry DuanParis54.

Following the incident, authorities confirmed that Kennedy, a native of Roebuck, South Carolina, had been charged with felony driving under the influence resulting in death, adding that “the accident is still the subject of ‘investigation”.

During her bail hearing on Thursday, February 24, members of Paris’ family shared impact statements, asking the judge to deny her bond.

“I see my dad lying in his own shop, moaning and moaning, with a stranger who doesn’t even call 911,” said Larry Paris’ daughter, Kelsey Paristold the judge, per local publication, The state. “He killed my dad, point blank. I wish I could pay a little money or a lot of money to get my dad back.”
