Olympic gold medalist and Fox News Contributor Caitlyn Jenner said Thursday that although she has a background in athletics and reality television, her focus has shifted to defending America.
Jenner agreed with host Sean Hannity, who said America was “in big trouble.”
“That’s one of the reasons I ran for governor,” Jenner said. “We need to stand up…America needs to have a stand-up mentality.”

Although she’s well known as transgender, there’s “a lot more” to the issues that she cares about, Jenner added.
“I’ve done a lot in my life, since the Olympics…As you may know, I’m trans, but I’m not a trans activist,” she continued. “It’s just a part of my life. There’s so much more to me.”
Jenner, who joined Fox News as a contributor on Thursday, added that she believes LGBT issues will play a big role in the midterm elections.
