Burglary suspect leads multiple agencies on hunt, runs out of gas

PRICEVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – A burglary suspect led multiple law enforcement agencies in pursuit before running out of gas in Morgan County, Priceville police say.

Police say the suspect, who remains unidentified, led officials on a chase that began in Kimberly, Alabama, and headed north on I-65.

According to Priceville Police Chief Jerry Holmes, the suspect ran out of gas on the way out of Priceville. A Facebook post says the chase ended near the River Road overpass. Chief Holmes said he believed the chase began when the suspect began breaking into a building near where an officer was parked.

The Kimberly Police Department posted on their Facebook page and said the suspect has a pending charge of third-degree burglary with other charges expected.

News 19 reached out to Kimberly Police Chief Ricky Pridmore for more information, but we didn’t hear back.
