Bulgarian policeman shot dead at Turkish border

A Bulgarian policeman was shot dead on the border with Turkey, the interior minister announced on Tuesday. The incident happened Monday night when an unidentified person shot a Border Patrol officer on patrol, AP reported. The shooter was not captured and is believed to be in Turkish territory. Bulgaria has deployed 350 soldiers and 40 army vehicles along its border with Turkey to deal with a growing influx of migrants.
