Buddy Boeheim on a low blow: ‘I won’t react this way again’

Syracuse defeated Florida St. 96-57 in the first round of the ACC Tournament Wednesday afternoon. It will re-establish the Orange-Blue Devils rivalry as Cuse takes on Duke on Thursday in the quarter-finals of the tournament in what will almost certainly be the last meeting between coaching legends Jim Boeheim and Mike Krzyzewski.
After a controversial moment in the match against the Seminoles, however, Coach Boeheim’s son, Buddy Boeheim – the team’s leading scorer – could be forced to miss the must-win game against “Coach K” and company.
During the first half on Wednesday, the native of Fayetteville, NY – a suburb of Syracuse – threw a punch into the midsection of FSU’s Wyatt Wilkes as the pair battled to get under the basket . Boeheim was not called for a foul, but cameras caught the move. The 22-year-old released a statement after the contest.
