Bruce Arians denies breakup rumors with Tom Brady

Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians has reacted forcefully to a report claiming he and Tom Brady are at odds at the end of the 2021 season.

The Arians gave a crude response to a report claiming he and Brady had a bad relationship and that the Arians had ‘undermined’ the game plans of Brady and offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich.

“There seems to be a (story) every day now,” Arians told Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. “Everyone speculates he’s going somewhere else. That does not bother me. These other bulls –, the relationship – it’s so far-fetched.

The original report, shared by NFL player-turned-radio host Rich Ohrnberger, claimed the Arians would come after rehabilitating his Achilles every morning and “take a red pen” for the job Brady and Leftwich had done. Arians strongly disputed those details, noting that he didn’t even rehabilitate his Achilles injury that morning. The Arians found the “red pen” part of the report particularly amusing.

“I’ve never heard of that one,” laughed Arians. “It was the best ever. It’s pretty graphic not knowing what (expletive) you’re talking about.

Could there have been friction between Brady and Arians? May be. However, it is unlikely to have been as bad as Ohrnberger claimed. Considering this isn’t the first ridiculous rumor Ohrnberger has spread this week, it’s probably best to throw this one in the trash.
