Brian Robinson not eligible for Returning Player of the Year

It’s been a long road for Washington Commanders rookie running back Brian Robinson Jr., a third-round pick from Alabama.

In August, commanders placed him on the non-football injured reserve list after he suffered a gunshot wound to his right leg in an attempted robbery. On Sunday, Robinson led Washington on the ground with 73 yards on 20 carries in a 23-21 victory Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.

Robinson tried to get to grips with reps after recovering quickly from his injuries. An impressive run after contact on Sunday showed what he can do.
