Brendan Rodgers’ name is on everyone’s lips after Tottenham suffered another setback in their search for a new manager.
The north London side are looking for a new permanent boss ahead of the new season, but are finding their search much trickier than expected.

Many names have been associated with the role, including Julian Nagelsmann, Vincent Kompany and Arne Slot, all of whom ruled themselves out of the running.
Nagelsmann and Kompany have quickly distanced themselves from the reports, while Feyenoord boss Slot is the latest to commit his future at his current club after saying he will not be going anywhere this summer.
Mauricio Pochettino had also been linked with the role, however, he is now set to take charge of Chelsea following Tottenham’s reluctance to move for their former boss.
As a result, Chairman Daniel Levy’s list of targets is shrinking, and fans are clamoring to know who will actually end up in the job.
One man who continues to be linked with the role is former Leicester boss Rodgers.
The 50-year-old is currently out of work after leaving the Foxes in early April, with fans suggesting he could be the next man on Levy’s hit list.

Rodgers’ name was trending immediately after Slot kicked himself out of the race, with fans feeling resigned to him becoming the new boss.
One fan said, “It’s got Brendan Rodgers written on it,” while another said, “It can’t be Brendan Rodgers, it really can’t.”
Another said: ‘Levy groped Nagelsmann and now Slot if we end up with Brendan Rodgers I will drop this club.’
“Waiting for Levy to announce Brendan Rodgers as new manager on a 4 year deal,” another fan said, while another said, “Slot was a smokescreen for…Brendan Rodgers!”
A final fan simply said, “Brendan Rodgers is going to be Spurs boss because nobody else wants the job.”
There were also some light comments.
“I would prefer Coach Trip’s Brendan to Brendan Rodgers,” one said, while another joked, “Why pay 10m to get your 1st pick when you’re getting your 4th/5th choice for free!” This has Brendan Rodgers writing all over it.
