Philippe Coutinho could seal a return to the Premier League this summer, with Leicester preparing a move for the ex-Liverpool star.
The Foxes have yet to take a firm approach for the Barcelona ace, but reports in Spain suggest Brendan Rodgers are keen to reunite with the player he coached at Liverpool for two years from 2013 to 2015.
According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, the Foxes are considering a £ 17million or possible loan offer for the Barcelona midfielder, who has been told he is free to leave Camp Nou this summer.
Coutinho has two more years on his Barca contract, but the La Liga giants are keen to sell the midfielder on the cheap just to take him off their payrolls.
It is also said that Barca will have to pay Liverpool an additional £ 18million if they reach 100 games for the club, with him currently at 90, so they want to sell him before he reaches a century of appearances. .
The Brazilian was a fan favorite at Anfield, spending five and a half seasons there before joining the Catalan giants.
He was twice named player of the year between 2014 and 2016 and scored 54 goals in 201 appearances.
He spent the 2019/20 campaign on loan at Bayern Munich, making 38 appearances in their triple season.
A serious knee injury hampered his return to Barca in 2020/21 and he managed just 14 appearances in all competitions.
