Brad Pitt is ready to sue Angelina Jolie, Fox News Digital can confirm.
Pitt, 58, accused Jolie, 47, of intentionally seeking to “harm” him by selling her stake in the former couple’s vineyard, Chateau Miraval. The ‘Moneyball’ actor claimed Jolie sold his stake in the vineyard without his consent, which they previously agreed was a requirement.
Jolie attempted to sell her Tenute del Mondo stake in October, according to court documents Pitt filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court. The company is “indirectly owned and controlled by Yuri Shefler, the Russian billionaire who controls the Stoli Group”.
“Jolie pursued and then concluded the alleged sale in secret, willfully keeping Pitt in the dark and knowingly violating Pitt’s contractual rights,” the court document states.

The actor is specifically suing Jolie for breach of implied contract in fact; breach of quasi-contract, invoked in the alternative; breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair use; abuse of rights under article 6-1 of the Luxembourg Civil Code; tortious interference in contractual relations; tortious interference with potential business relationships; and building trust.
He seeks damages “in an amount to be proven at trial” and asked that the sale of Jolie be declared “null and void”.
Pitt then accused the company Jolie was sold to of launching a “hostile takeover” of Miraval.

“Since purporting to acquire Jolie’s stake in Miraval, Shefler has launched a hostile takeover of the wine business, destabilizing Miraval’s operations and seeking access to Miraval’s confidential and proprietary information for the benefit of its rival business. “, according to court documents.
“At the same time, Miraval’s association with Shefler – which has gained notoriety through cut-throat business tactics and questionable professional associations – jeopardizes the reputation of the Pitt brand so carefully built. All of this is the result of Jolie’s illegal and tortious conduct. Violation of the parties’ agreement, Jolie sought to coerce Pitt into associating with an outsider, and even worse, an outsider with toxic associations and intentions.”
Representatives for both parties did not respond to Fox News Digital’s immediate request for comment.
Pitt and Jolie were married for two years before the actress filed for divorce in 2016, ending their 12-year relationship. The two became legally single in 2019.
The two bought a majority stake in Château Miraval in 2008 and have spent time at home throughout their relationship.
