Boston has 3 of the top 50 hotels in the United States, according to US News

Travelers looking for an unforgettable stay in the city can’t go wrong at three Boston hotels, according to US news and world report.

The publication released its 13th annual ranking of the best hotels on Tuesday, and Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street Boston ranked No. 16, Boston Harbor Hotel ranked No. 21 and The Langham, Boston ranked No. 29 among the top 50 hotels in the United States.

Another New England hotel, Twin Farms in Barnard, Vermont, made the list, ranking #26. The #1 ranked hotel is Acqualina Resort & Residences in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida.

US news and world report rated more than 35,000 luxury hotels and resorts in the United States, Europe, Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean to compile its hotel rankings. Results are based on industry-leading awards, hotel star ratings and guest reviews.

“The travel industry has evolved over the past decade, highlighting the need for
support and recognize hotels that maintain excellent standards and
provide guests with exceptional hospitality,” Zach Watson, travel editor at US News, said in a statement. “The 2023 Best Hotels ranking offers a list of reliable accommodations for every type of trip, from solo trips to romantic getaways to family vacations.”

Several New England resorts have also landed in the top 50 on the publication’s Best Resorts in the United States list: Twin Farms ranked #15, Ocean House in Watch Hill, RI, ranked #26, and Wequassett Resort & Golf Club in Harwich ranked No. 39. Acqualina Resort & Residences in Florida also ranked No. 1 on this list.

The country’s top resorts offer “world-class properties with everything
from hiking and ski trails to beaches, pools and water parks,” the publication wrote.
