Bob Jones High School Presents “Momma Mia!”

MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) – The students of Bob Jones High School prepare for the opening night of “Mamma Mia!”. The show opens April 14.

The show features a hilarious and heartwarming story combined with jaw-dropping dance numbers, all set to iconic ABBA music. Many are familiar with the film, but actors say there are surprises in the play, including songs that aren’t part of the feature.

Here is part of a brief synopsis of the play provided by Bob Jones High School:

On a small Greek island, we meet Sophie as she mails three envelopes. They are addressed to – Sam Carmichael, Bill Austin and Harry Bright. Lisa and Ali, Sophie’s friends, arrive and reveal that Sophie’s wedding is tomorrow. Sophie confesses to them that she invited her father to the wedding… or at least the three men who could be her father. After looking through her mother’s diary from the year she became pregnant, Sophie decided that one of the men would walk her down the aisle.
