Bloom Trail High School’s Blazin’ Bots Robotics Team Receives Enough Donations for Dallas Competition

CHICAGO (SCS) — The Bloom Trail High School robotics team is heading to the world championships in Dallas!

The team has won six local awards so far this year and has now qualified for the VEX Robotics World Competition in Dallas. At the competition, robotics teams from across the country and beyond will face off in early May.

But the Blazin’ Bots didn’t have enough money to send the whole team. Bloom Trail has a high number of low-income students. For this reason, finding money for a program like this can be a challenge.

But after a The CBS Story 2 Airs Thursdaytheir GoFundMe page blew up.

The team is now well over its goal of $10,000, so no one will be left out.
