Bloodied UFC star Darren Till admits Khamzat Chimaev ‘kicked him a**’ in fight and is the ‘real deal’ while Michael Bisping says he’s heard ‘terrifying things’

Once upon a time, Darren Till called Khamzat Chimaev and seemed interested in fighting him, but now they train together.

Till worked with Chimaev and Alexander Gustafsson at the Allstar Training Center in Stockholm, Sweden, and footage emerged from the grueling sessions.

UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping said he spoke to Till and others and the dominant thought about the workouts was how tough Chimaev really was.

“I hear things about Khamzat that are really terrifying,” Bisping said on his YouTube channel.

“Like I said, Darren Till is over there, I have a group of friends over there in Sweden, they’re filming, [NFT platform] Blockasset is a company I’m involved with.

“They call me up and say ‘Holy shit, Khamzat is the real deal’. He works out like crazy, trains like shit, lifts weights, pushes everyone in the room, good stand -up, a good fight.

Chimaev is 10-0 in MMA and 4-0 in the UFC. His first three wins in the UFC octagon came in a record 66 days and his latest win finally saw him enter the UFC welterweight rankings.

Till also had a stellar start to life in the UFC, but his fortunes have changed over the past two years.

After going undefeated in his first six UFC fights and winning a UFC title shot, Till has now lost four of his last five and he’s slipping down the middleweight rankings.

“Boy, I got my ass kicked,” Till told BlockAsset after a session with his mouth visibly bloody. “That’s what it’s all about, isn’t it?” Do it.

Chimaev can even be seen playfully saying “Let’s go big boy!” as he encourages Till to lift weights during some circuit training.

However, the UFC phenom is happy to have Till on his side and has said in the past that he believes in Till’s ability, he just needs to train harder.

“The work was good, nice to work with the best guys in the world. I work on grappling and wrestling, he learns something,” Chimaev said.

“Next time we work on striking, I learn something. It works like that, I’m glad he’s here.

Till will not be on the UFC London card on March 19 which will be headlined by Tom Aspinall. He’s yet to lock in his next fight at 185lbs, but credit goes to Till for humbling himself enough to seek out Chimaev and co. and try something new.

Chimaev is expected to face number two ranked welterweight Gilbert Burns next, but no date has yet been set.
