Blackstone investment strategist Byron Wien dies at 90

Byron Wien, along black stone leader known for his market predictions and intense networking, died Wednesday at age 90.

Wien, who developed a large following through his annual “Ten Surprises” list, was a vice president in Blackstone’s private wealth management group, which he joined 14 years ago. For decades, he listed in detail the economic, political and financial surprises he expected to see in the coming year. He produced the 38th edition last January.
