Black Adam, Shazam! Fury of the Gods Unveils New Trailers at San Diego Comic-Con 2022

Warner Bros. has released the official trailers for its long-awaited titles Black Adam and Shazam! Fury of the Gods as it returns to San Diego Comic-Con for the 2022 edition.

The studio stuck to its 2022 titles during the presentation and didn’t reveal any information about the upcoming the flash and the sequel to Aquaman, which stars controversial stars Ezra Miller and Amber Heard, respectively.

For black adamlead star Dwayne Johnson has brought a new trailer for the DC Comics movie, directed by Jaume Collet-Serra.

The actor, who appeared in costume, was joined by the director as well as actors Aldis Hodge (Hawkman), Noah Centineo (Atom Smasher) and Quintessa Swindell (Cyclone) during the presentation of the film.

At one point, Johnson raised his eyebrows after an audience member asked Johnson how Black Adam would fare against Superman.

The actor replied, “It probably all depends on who plays Superman,” a remark that added to uncertainty over Hollywood star Henry Cavill’s stint as the Man of Steel in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU).

The Shazam! Fury of the Gods – Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Lucy Liu and director David F Sandberg – showed off the official trailer for the film during their presentation.

The film is a sequel to Levi’s 2019 hit Shazam.

Warner Bros. didn’t make any presentations on Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and The Flash, which hits screens in 2023, as the studio continues to find itself embroiled in the imbroglio over Miller and Heard’s separate personal issues.

Miller, who stars in Andy Muschietti’s The Flash, has been arrested twice in Hawaii this year on disorderly conduct charges and charged with assault.

Heard recently made headlines due to the high-profile libel lawsuit, in which her ex-husband Johnny Depp sued her over a 2018 Washington Post column that he claimed involved his physically abusing her.

A jury found in June that they had both defamed each other, but Depp was awarded millions more in damages against Heard, who was also endlessly trolled and mocked by Depp’s fans on social media. She filed a notice of appeal on July 21.

Heard stars like Mera in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom opposite Jason Momoa. The film is set to be released on March 17, 2023.

Before that, Black Adam is set to hit theaters on October 21. Shazam! Fury of the Gods will follow on December 21.
