Florida House Speaker Chris Sprows joined “Hannity” Thursday night to provide an update on his bill dissolving Disney’s special tax improvement district.

CHRIS SPROWLS: Disney deserves to be treated like any other state enterprise. Here in the state of Florida, since 1968, I repeat, since the 1968 constitution, when Lyndon Johnson was president, there have been six special tax districts that no one has looked at. Only one of them is Disney. Some of them are mosquito control districts or law libraries, but only one is owned by a corporation. It’s time for Florida to go to these special tax districts, to have this awesome power. I mean, Disney, a corporation, has the power of the state to build its own nuclear power plant if it chooses to. So, you know, after they came out and said what they said, and I totally agree with you, the statements were just totally outrageous and they misled Floridians. They misled Americans about what the Florida legislature did to protect children in kindergarten through third grade.
