Biden’s bogus offer, CBS’ supreme ignorance and more

Diary of Disturbing Misinformation and Dangerous Delusions

This claim:

“I will work with anyone – Republican or Democrat – willing to work with me to get results.”

— President Biden, Wednesday

We say: Ha! President Biden claims he would work with anyone from the day he took office, but what he really means is that he will work with anyone. . . ready to submit to his conditions. Now, with Republicans in control of the House and able to thwart his legislative agenda, he strength offer a bit more flexibility. But don’t count too much.

We say: Sorry, SCSbut the judges did not overturn any “constitutional rights” – only one decision (Roe v. Wade) by an earlier court which claimed to have discovered a right to abortion in the Constitution, even though legal experts (including on the left) say the founding document is silent on the issue. It’s obvious, of course, where CBS stands on abortion. But if the network is going to be in the news business, shouldn’t it be aware of the actions of the Supreme Court?

This proposition :

We say: Biden may have been right, democracy is under threat – from far-left people like Robert Reich. former secretary of labor wants to subvert democracy and deprive voters the chance to vote for Donald Trump by preventing him from running in 24. Reich cites a Civil War-era constitutional amendment that bars “insurgents” from holding office, but it’s hard to see how he applies; after all, voters (including us) may prefer that Trump disappear, but he is not an “insurgent” just because Reich says he is. Moreover, doesn’t Reich trust the voters and the democratic process to choose the best candidate?

This tweet:

We say: Yes, New York Times best-selling author Sairo Rao is a racial peddler who has made money by berating gullible white people for their supposed racism. Yes, she feeds on provocative and outrageous (so inept) statements like these. But imagine if someone had tweeted the same thing about other racial groups: it would be canceled in the blink of an eye.
