President Joe Biden’s administration has freed more than 750,000 cross-border commuters and illegal aliens, a foreign population larger than the population of Boston, Massachusetts, in the United States since taking office in January 2021, a court brief confirms.
The brief, dated April 14 and filed in the Supreme Court by Stephen Miller’s America First legal foundation, details how Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) put its Catch and Release network into overdrive in a bit more than 12 months.
Specifically, DHS released more than 756,109 cross-border commuters and illegal aliens into U.S. communities from Jan. 21, 2021 through Feb. 28, 2022, the brief says. This is larger than the resident population of Boston, roughly equal to the size of Denver, Colorado, and larger than the population of Detroit, Michigan.
The releases per month are as follows:
Broken down by agency, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) released nearly 545,000 cross-border commuters and illegal aliens, while Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) released nearly 212,000 cross-border commuters and illegal aliens.
At the current rate of deportations, which have been eviscerated by Biden’s so-called “sanctuary country” orders, it would take ICE agents 14.5 years to deport border commuters and illegal aliens released inside the United States by Biden’s DHS.
This total of 756,109 does not include the 500,000 illegal aliens who successfully crossed the US-Mexico border in 2021 without being apprehended, nor the nearly 123,000 unaccompanied foreign children (UACs) who were resettled in the United States. United since the beginning of fiscal year 2021.
In total, the Biden administration has likely welcomed nearly 1.4 million commuters and illegal aliens into American communities since January 2021.
The figure comes as Biden plans to end the Title 42 border control authority first imposed by former President Trump in 2020. The authority has been successful in stemming waves of illegal immigration on behalf of public health.
Biden officials admit they expect up to half a million cross-border commuters and illegal aliens — the equivalent of the resident population of Atlanta, Georgia — to arrive at the border each month. Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview that he expects 30,000 people to cross the border and illegal aliens every day at the border.
DHS has developed a plan that would energize the agency’s Catch and Release network. The plan was exclusively reported and published by Breitbart News as it notes that the intended purpose of ending Title 42 is to create “large-scale release mechanisms” that turn the southern border into a mere checkpoint for foreign nationals before they are released into American communities.
