Biden doesn’t care about US energy jobs

Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) said Monday on Fox Business Network’s “Varney & Company” that President Joe Biden’s administration doesn’t care about American energy jobs.

Cassidy said: “The administration just killed a loan to Guyana, which is right next to Venezuela, a democracy, which has been an ally of the United States instead of helping Guyana build infrastructure to profit of this light, sweet crude off their shores. , incredible economic development for an ally, they killed this loan but at the same time they help the Venezuelans. It’s wrong. If you want to support democracy, support existing democracies, by the way, including ours. There are many Americans working in Guyana. It’s a way to create jobs in the United States as you go. The administration does not care about these jobs.

He added: “It’s really infuriating. You cannot separate energy security from economic security and national security and, by the way, from the climate either. If we produce oil with our energy, with our environmental standards, it’s less carbon footprint. It creates more jobs for the average American, better paying jobs. It increases national security and the security of Europeans. This administration has chosen to focus only on carbon emissions, which means we get more carbon emissions. They burn coal in Europe because we cannot supply them with gas and oil. At the same time, we are losing jobs here, national security is weakening, economic security is weakening. This administration, its energy policy is bad on all fronts.
