Biden and the Democrats are trying to redefine “recession”, “women”, etc.

This week, the consumer price index climbed 8.5% from a year ago as Americans continue to struggle to afford everyday items. Instead of acknowledging the inflation crisis and the impact it is having on families nationwide, Joe Biden tried to pretend the numbers showed “zero” inflation. As Biden settles into a week-long beach vacation, he doesn’t care what voters think: He cares about avoiding blame for the crises he’s created. In other words, he’s lying, and it’s not the first time.

Remember how he and his administration described inflation as “temporary” and “transient” even as soaring prices brought families to their knees and made essential goods almost inaccessible? Obama-Biden administration economists have warned that pumping unnecessary trillions into the economy will have negative consequences, but for Joe Biden, all that matters is trying to change the narrative for political gain.

Biden attempted the same cheap sleight of hand with the gas crisis his policies created. Gas prices are nearly $2 a gallon higher than when Biden took office, yet he had the audacity to claim that Americans are “saving” money on gas. In fact, the average family has lost $1,500 to rising energy prices since Biden took office.

Two weeks ago, new economic data clearly showed that America was going through a recession. Joe Biden seems to be the only person who disagrees. When asked the same day if we’re in a recession, Biden replied that “it doesn’t sound like a recession to me” before walking away from the press.

Let’s be clear: a recession occurs when we see two consecutive quarters of negative growth in our economy. You do not believe me ? Ask Biden’s own advisers, CNN, The Washington Post, PolitiFact and USA Today — they’ll all tell you the same thing. Biden attempted to rewrite the definition of the word to cover up his own administration’s failure. The American people know we are in a recession. 72% of voters think the economy is “weak” and 64% say their financial situation is “worse”. The answer from the Senate Democrats? Pass a bill that will make inflation worse and raise your taxes.

Go further back to when Biden oversaw a murderous and disastrous pullout from Afghanistan. The US embassy was hastily evacuated, images of desperate Afghans clinging to planes went viral and hundreds of Americans were left behind. Thirteen brave American servicemen died in a bombing that should not have happened. Today, the brutal and repressive Taliban are crushing Afghanistan in the wake of the failed Biden administration.

Any reasonable person would look at the facts and consider such a foreign policy debacle a failure. Biden called it an “extraordinary achievement.”

The Biden administration also described mothers as “birthers” and did not call the ongoing disaster at our southern border a crisis. News flash for Joe Biden and his administration: Women are women, and four million illegal immigrants crossing the border since he took office is, in fact, a crisis.

Not to mention the fact that since October, Border Patrol agents have apprehended 56 immigrants on the FBI’s terror watch list. Fentanyl – one of the world’s deadliest drugs – also crosses the open border and has become the leading cause of death among Americans between the ages of 18 and 45. Again, the facts are clear: this is a crisis. And again, Joe Biden would rather play nonsensical puns than admit the problems his policies have created.

The American people deserve better than Biden’s failed leadership. We also deserve mainstream media holding Biden and his advisers accountable for blatantly backtracking on their previous statements. People like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and National Economic Council Director Brian Deese have already officially accepted the definition of recession that Democrats are now frantically trying to rewrite. Most of the mainstream media refused to call out this clear divergence – instead, the RNC did, and we will continue to do so as many outlets cover Biden’s policy failures.

Above all, Americans deserve better than an arrogant president who thinks he can explain real-life problems just by hoping that Americans will fall for his cheap politics. George Orwell’s classic 1984 novel warned of a totalitarian political movement that would tell voters to “dismiss the evidence from your eyes and ears”. As Biden and his cronies take on the dictionary for their own political gain, we watch this disturbing scenario unfold in real time. It’s more important than ever to elect Republicans in November.
