B&G Foods recalls ‘Chedalicious Cheese Flavored Crackers’

(RTTNews) – B&G Foods said it voluntarily recalled 1,855 cases of a 6oz unique date code. Back to nature cheddalicious cheese flavored crackers, with a best before date of September 5, 2022, after learning that a limited number of cracker boxes were inadvertently filled with foil-wrapped animal-shaped cracker pouches , which contain egg and milk, allergens that are not declared on the box label.

People allergic or sensitive to eggs or milk are at risk of a serious or even fatal allergic reaction if they consume the animal-shaped crackers contained in the recalled boxes. There are no health risks associated with the product for people without egg or milk allergies.

No allergic reactions related to the case have been reported to date, the company said in a statement.

The company noted that it discovered the issue when it received a consumer complaint that a foil pouch in a single box of Back to Nature Cheddalicious Cheese Flavored Crackers contained animal-shaped crackers. The third-party co-packer that manufactures the product inadvertently filled a limited number of boxes of Back to Nature Cheddalicious Cheese Flavored Crackers with another food company’s animal-shaped crackers.

Product has been shipped and distributed to customer warehouses located in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Maine, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee and Wisconsin.

The company said consumers who purchased the recalled product can return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
