Best skills in Stellar Blade to unlock for early game 2024

There are plenty of options.

Stellar Blade features a comprehensive skill tree with multiple branches that allows you to unlock various abilities and refine Eve’s playstyle.

However, choosing which skill to unlock and use first can be difficult, which is why we’re here to help. In this guide, we explain the best Stellar Blade skills to unlock first.

If you’re just starting out, you may notice that some skills are available from the start while others require SP to unlock.

SKILL TYPE SKILL DESCRIPTION OF THE SKILL
Attack Ambush Run the enemy from behind. Can only be used on enemies who are not in combat.
Attack Beta Energy Steal Recharges more beta energy during a successful ambush or assault.
Attack Infinite rush Increases Rush’s charge distance and attack power. More effective than Lightning Rush.
Attack Spike chain Charges the enemy and deals additional combo attacks. A combo attack skill.
Survival Increased concentration Makes using Perfect Parry easier.
Survival Beta II Energy Recharge Increases the amount of beta energy recharged with a successful perfect parry. More efficient than Beta Energy Recharge 1.

Ambush is an essential skill to unlock since it allows you to stealthily execute enemies from behind. Since enemies are not level dependent, you can use Ambush to take out any enemy, big or small, from behind.

This is an incredibly useful skill throughout the campaign, but especially early on, as you don’t have access to many impactful special abilities.

Beta Skills are the first set of special abilities you have access to in Stellar Blade. They deal a ton of damage but require beta energy to activate.

Since you rely on Ambush to stealthily take out your enemies, Beta Energy Steal is a great skill because it recharges the Beta Skill on successful Ambush attacks.

Rush is great for closing enemy distance, and you may want to get Infinite Rush as it increases the distance you can travel and the attack power of the Rush strike.

Likewise, we recommend unlocking Rush Chain as it deals a whirlwind of combo attacks that doesn’t require much intervention but deals massive damage.

Parrying is extremely important to master in Stellar Blade. However, this can take some getting used to, especially at first, as you learn to balance executing combo attacks and deflecting enemy attacks.

Therefore, we recommend unlocking the Focus Boost skill as it makes it easier to perform a perfect parry that knocks the enemy off balance.

Likewise, you may want to unlock Beta Energy Recharge II as it increases the beta energy you can recover with perfect parries. Additional Notes on How to Proceed with Beta Skills:

Although all four beta skills are unique and powerful abilities, we recommend focusing on one of them first and unlocking all of their abilities in their sub-skill tree.

For example, if you decide to unlock Triplet, it is better to first unlock all of his later skills that improve Triplet’s effectiveness rather than a second beta skill.

These are some of the best Stellar Blade skills to use in the early game.
