Liverpool are leading the way with a quartet of players in the Premier League’s top eleven based on EA Sports’ new ratings in FIFA 22.
EA Sports are revealing their top-rated players ahead of the game’s October 1 release and have released a 3-4-3 Premier League offensive lineup.
Mohamed Salah is ranked 89 out of 100, and the Egyptian striker is joined by three of his defensive teammates in Liverpool – Virgil van Dijk (89), Andrew Robertson (87) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (87).
Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne are the best-rated Premier League duo out of 91, close to Paris Saint-Germain’s Lionel Messi, leading the way with a 93 rating.
Tottenham duo Harry Kane (90) and Heung-Min Son (89) will join Ronaldo, De Bruyne and the Liverpool quartet in Premier League XI.
Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes (88) is also on the roster, while fellow midfielder N’Golo Kante (90) is the only Chelsea player in the squad.
Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson (89) gets the go-ahead, although Liverpool’s Alisson Becker received the same rating. Similarly, Sadio Mane (89) did not make the XI despite a score identical to that of Salah.
Ederson and Salah both scored slightly better when they totaled industrial stats, although they fell below the same score overall.
FIFA fans will have to wait to see the ratings given to Raheem Sterling, Jadon Sancho, Ruben Dias, Paul Pogba, Jack Grealish and a host of other Premier League players.
The quality of the Premier League better than ever?
Sky Gary Neville from sports:
“I don’t think I’ve seen in the history of the Premier League four teams as good as the top four we have now. And I don’t think I’ve seen the Premier League so well in terms of quality.
“We could have the top four teams around the world right now,
“Liverpool’s first XI, if it can keep that form, may be the best XI in the Premier League. And we’re not even talking about Liverpool yet!
“The City squad are exceptional, Chelsea are strong as you wouldn’t believe, and Man Utd with the addition of Ronaldo, Sancho and Varane are going to be in there.
“We’ve never really had a four-team title race, it could be a huge ding-dong this season.
“The games we watched are really good, the moods are good, the quality is good, the speed of the game, the athleticism of the players. It is absolutely the best level we are seeing at the moment.”
