Benzema in the history of French football

If Real Madrid lost the Spanish Super Cup against Barça on Sunday in Saudi Arabia, Karim Benzema scored a symbolic and no less exceptional number of goals.
Real Madrid are in a very bad state at the moment. Now trailing 3 points from FC Barcelona at the top of La Liga, Carlo Ancelotti’s Merengues paled in comparison by losing the final of the Spanish Super Cup against these same Blaugranas (3-1), Sunday evening in Saudi Arabia .
Karim Benzema failed like his whole team during this rout, but he saved the honor in added time (93rd). Here he is, a scorer in his 4 matches since the post-World Cup 2022 recovery. The Ballon d’Or 2022 seems physically ready to achieve a good second half of the season.

KB 400
Individually, “KB9” has now scored 400 club goals in all competitions (66 with OL then 334 with Real) and this figure is exceptional since he is the first French player in history to reach the bar of 400 club achievements. For comparison, Kylian Mbappé, 24, has 218 club goals.
🔥 Karim Benzema becomes the 1st French player in history to reach 400 club goals in all competitions. #ElClasico

Moribund in the game for many months and picking it up defensively against Barça de Xavi, the people of Madrid must react against Villarreal and Bilbao next week. Benzema will not be able to do everything and the reigning Spanish and European champion may collapse in a shattering manner. This Real Madrid is awful.
