Bengaluru Bulls defenders clueless as Mohammadreza Chiyaneh steals two points
Patna Pirates’ Mohammadreza Chiyaneh has established himself as PKL’s best defender over the past couple of years, and no one seems to come close to him. But if Patna’s match against Tamil Thalaivas was anything to go by, he can also be a decent raider, a skill he hasn’t used much.
On Wednesday, Tamil Thalaivas beat Patna Pirates in convincing fashion, but the game’s highlight moment came when Shadlou scored a few points, but in a raid. It was during the first half that the fans witnessed this moment of brilliance.
What was even more striking was how the points arrived at the Iranyan. In the first half itself, Shadlou went on a raid, against a seven defense. He started from the right flank and showed no urgency at all. Soon he moved to the left side of the field, but hardly tried to get a point of contact.
Suddenly, the raider went for the bonus, which tempted the left corner, Aman, to go for the peg and dove forward. It looked like the raider had planned the move and got away with it unscathed, earning two points for his team.
